Teresa always wanted a White Labrador retriever Puppy. After searching the internet for months, I found a breeder in Canada. They had just bred their best girl to the #1 yellow Labrador in all of Canada. And, the litter should be WHITE! Funny thing is, Both Sire and Dam of this litter were born in America, and had been registered with the AKC, prior to being moved to Canada. Once the litter was born, and the Breeders had a Little girl for us, we paid for her in full. The Breeder, sent frequent photos of the puppies progress, and the litter was Almost completely white. We waited 8 weeks, then, waited 2 more weeks for snow to melt, and flew her from Canada to southern California, She went through Customs. And she was ours. Teresa opened the crate, quickly looked at the Cargo officials, and exclaimed: “this is the wrong dog!” “My Dog is WHITE!” They assured to us that we had the correct dog……. Hmmm it seems the breeder had Over Exposed the photos, or adjusted the Brightness to whiten the look of the litter. We named this girl Fancy, or “Shogun’s Fancy Don’t let me down” she became MY dog, Teresa and her never bonded.
Shortly after, we found Charlie Tolkien of Gold berry Labradors. W had him ship us Bianca, or “Goldberry’s Bianca Blast”. Teresa and Bianca quickly bonded, And Teresa began training her new White Lab Puppy for the show ring. We went to the international shows, and Bianca became the first International All Breed Champion from Susana Labradors. Bianca threw many White Labrador litters, and she has been one of our foundation dogs. Bianca is now retired, and is under my desk sleeping, as I write this.
